Men of the Delta State Police Command have arrested two brothers, Emmanuel Eugene, 18, and Kelvin Eugene, 20, for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl at Okoro Street, Third Marine Quarters, Third Marine Gate, in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State, sometime this month.

How the Incident Unfolded

A source who spoke to DailyTrust said the victim’s mother left her at home to look after her younger sibling while she went to the market. On getting home, the mother found out she was missing. The source said that following her disappearance, the family began searching for her before a neighbour informed them that the teenager had been seen around the suspects’ residence the previous day.

According to the source, the teenager was later found hiding inside a church building in Effurun by a woman who came to sweep the church and informed her family. He said the teenager initially refused to speak about what happened to her, but later opened up after repeated persuasions from family members.
