Justice D.I. Dipeolu of the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, has reserved ruling on the bail application filed by popular social media influencer and relationship therapist, Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, widely known as Blessing CEO. The ruling has been deferred until Tuesday, June 9, 2026.
Details of the Charges
Blessing CEO is facing a two-count charge brought by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Lagos Zonal Directorate 1. The charges relate to obtaining money by false pretence and stealing, totaling N36 million. She was arraigned on May 15, 2026, over allegations that she obtained the sum from a petitioner under false pretence of leasing a property in Lekki, Lagos.
Court Proceedings
The matter was initially adjourned to June 5 for the hearing of her bail application. However, after listening to arguments from both the prosecution and the defence, Justice Dipeolu reserved the ruling for the following Tuesday. The court will now deliver its decision on June 9, 2026.
The case has attracted significant public attention due to Blessing CEO's prominence as a social media influencer and relationship expert. The EFCC continues to pursue the case as part of its efforts to combat financial crimes in Nigeria.
