Decorator Killed After Free Work at Benin Funeral

A 30-year-old interior decorator, Esohe Aigbe, was brutally attacked and killed after offering to decorate a funeral venue for free in Benin City, Edo State.

Incident Details

According to relatives, Aigbe volunteered her services as a contribution to a burial ceremony. She went to assist a friend at a funeral venue on Ujo Street in the Ogida area. After completing the decoration, she was still at the venue when unidentified assailants attacked her.

Injuries and Death

She sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, where she later died. Her remains have been deposited in the mortuary.

Family Appeal

Family members have called on security agencies to investigate the matter and bring the perpetrators to justice. So far, no arrests have been made and no suspects have been identified.
