According to official statements released by the state government, the decision to pursue criminal charges comes after at least two separate road traffic incidents involving the entertainer within a span of just three weeks. The most serious occurrence took place on November 1, 2025, in Sagamu, where DJ Chicken collided with two motorcycles, resulting in serious injuries to both a rider and a female passenger.
Eyewitness accounts from the Sagamu incident indicate that the content creator attempted to leave the scene following the collision. However, vigilant passersby intervened and prevented his departure until law enforcement authorities arrived to take control of the situation.
Government's Strong Statement
The Ogun State Government, through its official X (formerly Twitter) handle, declared that the November 1st incident represented a turning point in their assessment of DJ Chicken's driving behavior. The government emphasized that this was not an isolated occurrence but part of a disturbing pattern that could no longer be overlooked.
The official statement read: "While it may be reasonable to allow crash victims get compensation from persons who have driven recklessly and to resolve road traffic collisions as a civil wrong, some road users are special dangers to society and should be held to account under criminal law. Mr Abiodun is one such person."
Government officials highlighted that at least two recent crashes involving DJ Chicken have been captured on video, making the evidence against him what they described as "self-evident."

Just three weeks after the Sagamu collision, on November 23, 2025, DJ Chicken was involved in another serious road incident, this time in the Lekki area of Lagos State. According to the government's account, this was a lone-car crash that narrowly avoided harming pedestrians, with tragedy averted only through quick reflexes and what officials termed "sheer luck."
