The ex-wife and three children of a Dubai prince have been allegedly abducted by Emirati police during a terrifying night raid, according to her British lawyer. Zeynab Javadli, 34, reportedly faced threats and intimidation for years after divorcing Sheikh Saeed, 49, and was ordered to hand over the couple's children two months ago.
Lawyer's Statement
Human rights lawyer David Haigh stated that Dubai Police carried out the threat in a night raid on her home. In a statement shared with The Sun, Haigh said: "Zeynab's home in Dubai has now been confirmed as locked and empty. This was not unexpected." He added that from the moment of her divorce in 2019, Zeynab was subjected to horrific abuses, including attacks on her home, threats of arrest, and a travel ban.
Allegations of Abuse
Haigh claimed that women and children in Dubai are routinely treated as possessions. He said: "Zeynab's case is yet further evidence that women and children in Dubai are simply not safe." He described her life as one of extreme and systematic abuse, directed at her, her elderly parents, and her three young daughters.
Neighbor of Princess Latifa
In a twist, Haigh highlighted that Zeynab was neighbors with Princess Latifa, the Emirati royal who attempted to flee the UAE in 2018. Latifa was forcibly removed by armed men and taken back to Dubai. Haigh noted the irony that Zeynab's house is one away from Latifa's villa, where she remains under constant monitoring.
