On March 24, 2026, at approximately 0200 hours, police operatives executed a well-coordinated operation that led to the apprehension of four individuals suspected of involvement in cult activities. The suspects have been identified as Solomon Oboigbe, a 27-year-old male from Ewoyi Quarters, Uromi; Fidelis Omale, a 26-year-old male residing in Atani, Uromi; Julius Oseyomon, a 64-year-old male from Atani, Uromi; and Abraham Erumosele Momo, a 54-year-old male from Eco Obedo, Uromi.
During the operation, law enforcement officers recovered four English pump-action guns from the suspects. Additionally, they seized nine live cartridges and three expended cartridges, indicating potential prior use of the firearms. Preliminary investigations conducted by the police suggest that the suspects are affiliated with the Eiye Confraternity, a notorious cult group, and that the recovered firearms were obtained through illegal means.
