A devastating fire outbreak in the Gida Dubu area of Dutse, Jigawa State, has resulted in the tragic loss of two young lives. According to the official statement, the first fire erupted at approximately 4:00 a.m. at Layin Dabinai, near Masallacin Malam Babba.
The inferno rapidly engulfed rooms where the two children were residing. Despite immediate emergency response efforts, the intensity of the flames made rescue operations impossible. Tragically, both children—a male and a female from the same parents—were confirmed deceased at the scene. The father has been identified as Aminuddeen Abubakar, an employee of the Federal University Dutse.

Separate Fire Incident in Same Area
In a separate development on the same day, another fire outbreak was recorded in the Gida Dubu area at about 12:00 noon. Preliminary findings suggest that this second incident originated from an electrical spark in the kitchen of a resident named Nura Garba, popularly known as Dangwan Gwan.
The fire extended to adjoining houses belonging to Mu’azu Garba and Mohammed Aliyu, also known as Jaujen Hadejia, causing significant damage to kitchens and roofing materials. Fortunately, due to the swift response of firefighters, the situation was brought under control, and no lives were lost in this second incident.
