The Aredu Development and Empowerment Foundation has extended a helping hand to persons with disabilities and vulnerable youths in Osogbo, Osun State, by distributing essential food items and clothing. This initiative comes as a response to the worsening economic challenges affecting many Nigerians.

Foundation's Mission and Motivation

Speaking at the event, the convener of the foundation, Mr Muritala Adebayo, highlighted the severe impact of rising living costs, unemployment, and insecurity on persons with disabilities. He noted that these individuals face daily hurdles related to healthcare, education, mobility, and basic welfare. The outreach is part of the foundation's humanitarian efforts to provide relief and restore hope among the most vulnerable members of society.

Adebayo emphasized the urgent need for collective action, calling on governments at all levels, corporate organizations, and well-meaning Nigerians to intensify their support for persons with disabilities amid the prevailing economic difficulties. He stated, “We believe that supporting vulnerable people is not just charity, but a responsibility that promotes justice, inclusion and economic empowerment.”
