The Ogun State Police Command has made a significant breakthrough with the arrest of four individuals suspected of involvement in forgery, impersonation, and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace. The arrests took place in the Sabo Under-Bridge area of Sagamu, bringing relief to local motorcycle operators and traders who had been targeted.

According to the state Police Public Relations Officer, Chief Superintendent of Police Omolola Odutola, the operation was launched on November 20, 2025, at about 0800hrs. The Divisional Police Officer of Sakura Division received a distress call alerting them to a group of people who were extorting members of the public using counterfeit revenue tickets purportedly from ACOMORAN.

A swift police response led to the apprehension of the four suspects: Inidana Muhammad, Ali-Asan Makun Muhammad, Ahmed Isa, and Saliu Isa. Investigations revealed they were in possession of forged receipts which they used to illegally collect revenue from commercial motorcycle riders and local traders. It was disclosed that the fake tickets were supplied by one Yinusa, a resident of Sabo, who is currently at large and being sought by the police.

CSP Odutola confirmed that the four suspects will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID) for a detailed investigation and subsequent prosecution. The Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, issued a stern warning to street urchins and disgruntled elements who disrupt the lawful activities of citizens.

He emphasized that illegal union activities, including impersonation, forgery, and extortion, will no longer be tolerated and will be met with decisive police action. Ogunlowo reiterated the command's unwavering stance against all acts capable of disturbing public order, reaffirming its commitment to maintaining a safe, peaceful, and law-abiding environment for all residents of Ogun State.
