According to multiple sources, a group of youths allegedly attempted to take over the girlfriend of a peer identified as Usman, leading to outrage and a physical confrontation. What began as a peaceful gathering at the Kwara Mall along Fate Road quickly descended into chaos as tensions flared.
A witness described the scene as terrifying and uncontrollable, noting that the youths initially appeared normal before suddenly shouting and chasing each other. The situation escalated rapidly when participants brought out sticks and cutlasses, engaging in open fighting on the main road. This forced bystanders, including traders, motorists, and shoppers, to flee for safety to avoid being caught in the violence.
