Hotel Worker Admits Stealing Millions, Sharing with Staff

A hotel employee identified as Yokonta Friday has confessed to stealing from his employer and illegally selling hotel rooms for the past five years. In a viral video circulating online, Friday admitted that he collected money from guests, transferred the funds into his personal account, and shared the proceeds with other staff members involved in the scheme.

Confession Details

According to Friday, he and two other individuals, identified as Mr. Wale and Mr. Seyi, took the largest share of the stolen money before distributing the remainder to other participants. He claimed that everyone in the housekeeping department was aware of the arrangement.

When asked if he had built a house using the proceeds from the alleged theft, Friday answered affirmatively. He further disclosed that between May of last year and June this year, a total of N17.8 million passed through his personal account.

During questioning, Friday admitted responsibility for the theft and acknowledged that his actions were criminal. The video has sparked widespread discussion on social media about internal theft in the hospitality industry.
