The theft occurred when thieves gained access to the Kano State Government House through Gate 4 and made away with a white Toyota Hilux vehicle attached to the Governor's Advance Teams. The incident was reported missing on November 11, 2025, prompting immediate police action.
Chief Press Secretary to Deputy Governor Gwarzo confirmed the development in an official statement released on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. The statement detailed how the thieves managed to infiltrate the secure Government House premises and drive away with the official vehicle.
Police Investigation Leads to Arrest
Kano State Police Commissioner CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori immediately ordered the sealing of all entry and exit points across the state following the report. The police chief directed that the vehicle must be recovered and all suspects involved in the theft apprehended.
