According to reports, the incident occurred on Thursday, February 19, 2026, when the couple had gone to their farm in Amaji village. A source revealed that an argument erupted between the couple, during which the suspect allegedly used a kitchen knife to fatally assault his wife, a mother of two children.
"People got to know about the incident when the woman screamed loudly. The scream attracted other villagers working around the farm. They rushed there, overpowered the man and restrained him," the source stated, highlighting the immediate community response.
