Incident Details

Police said Jett traveled from North Carolina and followed his wife and her boyfriend to a Food Lion on 38th Avenue North. According to an incident report, Jett approached a vehicle belonging to McGill, left a note on the windshield and became involved in a verbal confrontation.

Physical Altercation

Investigators said the argument turned physical when Jett allegedly struck McGill in the head. The two men exchanged blows before separating. Police said McGill then retrieved a metal baseball bat from his vehicle and struck Jett multiple times in the head, neck and shoulder area, causing him to fall to the ground.
