Residents of Noforija in Epe and its environs recently experienced a wave of compassion as the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM), Lagos Region 1, Lekki Mega Regional Axis, Igbo Efon, organized a humanitarian outreach. Hundreds of underprivileged individuals benefited from free medical services, food distribution, and skill empowerment programs.
Comprehensive Medical Services
A thorough medical program was conducted, where qualified health professionals attended to residents at no cost. Community members received medical consultations, basic treatments, and health advice, addressing conditions that might otherwise go untreated due to financial constraints. Services included Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) tests, Fasting Blood Sugar (FBS), Full Blood Count (FBC), blood pressure checks, and other blood tests. Pregnant women, ulcer patients, and individuals with stroke and piles were also attended to.
Evangelism Initiative
The Senior/Mega Regional Overseer of MFM Lekki Mega Regional Axis, Pastor Moses Adebowale, speaking through Pastor Olufemi Odelabi, Assembly Pastor of MFM Lagos Region 1, Igbo Efon, Lekki, stated that the gesture is part of the Explosive Evangelism Initiative (EEI) of the General Overseer, Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya. Adebowale explained that Dr. Olukoya instructed all MFM churches to positively impact lives spiritually through evangelism programs and physically through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. He thanked the General Overseer and his wife, Dr. Folashade Elizabeth Olukoya, describing them as selfless philanthropists passionate about winning souls for Christ and transforming lives.
Food Evangelism and Medical Outreach
District Evangelism Leader in charge of the Lekki/Ajah Axis, Evangelist Patience Udeme, said the aim of the Food Evangelism and Medical Outreach was to win souls for Christ, depopulate the kingdom of darkness, and put smiles on faces by attending to physical needs. She noted that the church constantly embarks on food evangelism, market, street, prison, and orphanage evangelism, in addition to crusades and film shows.
Skill Acquisition and Empowerment
A standout feature of the event was the free skill acquisition and empowerment segment. Participants were introduced to practical vocational skills such as soap making and perfume making, designed to foster entrepreneurship and financial independence. Organizers emphasized that empowering individuals with skills is key to breaking cycles of poverty and building sustainable livelihoods. The church also reached out to widows with free food supplies and cash gifts to boost their businesses, welfare, and support their children's education.
Community Impact
Residents of Noforija praised the effort, describing it as impactful and timely. Many called for more organizations to emulate such initiatives, stressing the positive difference it has made in their lives. As the outreach concluded, it left behind more than supplies and services, instilling renewed hope and a sense of community solidarity. For the people of Noforija, the intervention stands as a reminder that compassion and collective action remain powerful tools for societal transformation.
