Delta Police Arrest Mother for Alleged Sexual Assault of 3-Year-Old Daughter
Mother arrested for sexually assaulting 3-year-old daughter

The Delta State Police Command has made a shocking arrest involving a mother accused of sexually assaulting her own three-year-old daughter. The case came to light after the child's father discovered disturbing video evidence of the abuse.

Disturbing Discovery Leads to Arrest

According to Police Public Relations Officer SP Bright Edafe, the investigation began when the father of the three-year-old girl reported finding a video showing the child's mother, identified as Tracy Wilson, engaging in sexual acts with their daughter. The parents were not married at the time of the incident.

"We had a father of a three-year-old child who had a baby with a lady he is not yet married to," Edafe explained in a video statement released on Tuesday. "He came to the station and reported that he had come across a video where the mother of his daughter was having sexual intimacy with the three-year-old child."

Police Investigation Reveals Horrific Details

Following the report, CSP Temi Agbede Zuokumor, the Divisional Police Officer of Ogborikoko division, immediately mobilized officers to apprehend Wilson. The subsequent police investigation confirmed the father's allegations, with video evidence providing crucial support for the case.

"Not only did she sexually molest her own child, but she had it on record," SP Edafe stated during the announcement.

During police interrogation, Wilson reportedly confessed to the abuse, stating: "My child was sucking my breasts. I have the video of naked pictures where my daughter was naked and I was naked. So, she was touching her vagina. I have been abusing her, touching her vagina... She is my daughter."

When questioned about how long the abuse had been occurring, Wilson revealed the disturbing timeline of eight months of ongoing sexual assault.

Medical Evidence Supports Abuse Claims

The police investigation uncovered devastating medical evidence confirming the severity of the abuse. The three-year-old victim tested positive for a sexually transmitted disease and had sustained injuries to her vulva. Wilson acknowledged these medical findings during her police interrogation.

SP Edafe emphasized the Delta State Police Command's commitment to protecting society from such heinous crimes, stating they will continue to pursue justice for victims of abuse.

Pattern of Child Abuse Cases in Delta State

This alarming case follows another recent child sexual abuse incident in Asaba, Delta State, where 54-year-old Edward Odega was arrested for allegedly defiling his three daughters over a seven-year period.

The three victims, now aged 13, 15, and 24, came forward after participating in a school outreach program conducted by CSP Agbede Zuokumor. The program aims to promote awareness and encourage children to speak out against abuse.

The Delta State Police Command continues to investigate these disturbing cases and reaffirms its dedication to safeguarding the community's most vulnerable members.
