A Nigerian mother has publicly appealed for help after alleging that her daughter was trafficked to Libya under the pretense of being taken to Dubai. In a video shared online, the distraught woman claims her daughter was lured by a woman who promised her a trip to Dubai but instead took her to Libya, where she was allegedly sold to a brothel.
Mother's Plea and Daughter's Disappearance
The mother, who broke down while recounting the ordeal, said her daughter used to sell pure water before meeting the woman who allegedly convinced her to travel abroad. According to the mother, her daughter was taken to Libya, and she lost contact with her for about a month.
She said that about six months later, she attempted to reach her daughter again after being told that the young woman had allegedly run away with a man. However, the daughter later managed to contact her mother and told a different story.
Allegations of Trafficking and Brothel Sale
According to the daughter, the woman who took her abroad had allegedly sold her to a brothel, and she never ran away with any man, contrary to what the mother had been told. The mother described this as another painful loss, noting that she originally had five children but now has only two left with her.
The mother begged Nigerians to come to her aid and help bring her daughter back home. The video was shared by Linda Ikeji's blog on Instagram, drawing attention to the case.
