The Commissioner of Police commended officers in the Dan Magaji area for their prompt and professional response after receiving the report.

Husband's Account

The husband of both women, Salisu Haruna, a petrol trader in Gwargwaje, told Daily Trust that the deceased had been instrumental in arranging his marriage to the suspect. He expressed deep pain over the incident, stating that the deceased facilitated his marriage to the woman who eventually caused her death.

Haruna explained that the suspect is originally from Kano and was brought to the area by her mother. He accused the suspect of being overly suspicious, noting that whenever her child cried, she would suspect someone, especially from the senior wife's room, of beating him and would react furiously.

Dispute Over Sallah Meat

Sources revealed that the dispute stemmed from the sharing of Sallah meat, with the suspect accusing the senior wife's children of receiving a larger share than her own child. The sources further claimed that the suspect had a history of becoming involved in disputes over minor issues, particularly involving children, while the deceased was known for her patience and peaceful relationship with community members.

The deceased had been married to her husband for many years and had eight children and grandchildren.
