A Nigerian serial sex offender has been sentenced to prison in the United Kingdom for multiple sexual offences. Victor Komolafe, aged 35, received a sentence of 8 years and 11 months at Woolwich Crown Court on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, after being convicted earlier this year on four counts of sexual abuse.
Conviction and Sentencing
Komolafe was found guilty on Wednesday, April 23, at Snaresbrook Crown Court of four counts of sexual abuse, including one count of attempted rape, one count of sexual assault, and two counts of assault by penetration. In addition to his prison term, he received a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for an indefinite period and will remain on the sex offenders register for life.
Investigation and Arrest
The defendant, who also used the aliases Ghost and Xavier, was charged in connection with two complainants who were unknown to each other. He was arrested following a report of sexual assault on August 10, 2023. During police questioning, Komolafe claimed the sexual activity was consensual and initiated by the complainant. However, forensic analysis supported the report, despite his efforts to conceal his name, address, and identity from his victims.
An additional report of similar sexual abuse was made within a month of his arrest, on September 25, 2023. The second victim stated that offences were committed by Komolafe on September 23, 2023. The victim reported being denied food or water, a tactic used to incapacitate her. Komolafe then committed further offences against the victim in a car belonging to his partner. He again denied the assault, but forensic evidence on the complainant's clothing showed semen belonging to the defendant.
Victim Statements
One victim shared: "If you have a feeling that something happened to you against your will, go to the police. It's worth speaking up even if you're not sure. This might encourage people to report him and others. People like him need to be brought to justice. You shouldn't feel unsafe. If there is anyone who was hurt by Victor, you should come forward. He won't be able to hurt you now. Try to find the strength to do that. It's not right to let people like him get away with crimes like this."
V100 Programme
Komolafe was convicted as a result of the Metropolitan Police's V100 programme, which uses data and intelligence to produce a monthly list of the top 100 offenders posing the highest risk to women and girls in London. Officers then pursue these individuals using tactics drawn from counter-terrorism policing to remove them from the streets. According to the Met Police, the programme has seen 208 nominals convicted up to the end of April since its launch in 2023.
Detective Constable Jo Cheug and Helen Codes worked on the investigation. They stated: "Komolafe would hide behind a guise of familiarity and friendship with his victims; this enabled him to exploit his formed connections and target these women for his abusive crimes. The bravery of both victims coming forward emphasises their strength of character, and their willingness to speak out against abusers such as Komolafe. Their courage and determination enabled our investigation to achieve the justice they desperately deserved."
