A female member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has passed away following a camp activity in Maiduguri, Borno State. The incident occurred last Monday evening at a hospital after an evening parade drill at the scheme's temporary orientation camp.

The NYSC State Coordinator, Alhaji Nasir Bello, confirmed the death. He stated that the corps member reported to camp with an underlying ailment and was later pronounced dead at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital. Bello clarified that the death did not take place during the parade drills.
