Oba Akiolu Urges CP to Improve Police Conduct and Discipline

The Oba of Lagos, His Royal Majesty, Oba Rilwanu Babatunde Akiolu, has called on the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Tijani Fatai, to enhance discipline and improve conduct within the Nigeria Police Force. The monarch made this appeal yesterday while receiving the CP during a courtesy visit to his palace in Lagos.

Call for Improved Professionalism

Oba Akiolu acknowledged that there are still officers of integrity in the Force, but noted that the actions of some personnel continue to tarnish its reputation. He stressed the need for regular orientation programs to address misconduct and instill professionalism among officers.

CP Seeks Royal Blessings

Commissioner Fatai stated that his visit to the palace was to seek royal blessings as he assumes his new duty post in Lagos. He expressed his commitment to working with traditional institutions to maintain law and order in the state.
