The Ogun State Police Command has commenced an investigation following the apprehension of two male suspects by personnel of the Nigeria Forest Security Service in the Atiba area of Ijebu-Ode on Thursday, June 4, 2026. The suspects were intercepted during a security operation and subsequently handed over for further investigation.
Preliminary Inquiries Underway
Preliminary inquiries are ongoing to establish their identities and determine the circumstances surrounding their activities within the area. The command assured residents that the situation is under control and that there is no cause for alarm.
“The suspects will be subjected to a thorough and professional investigation in accordance with the law, while any further action will be guided by the outcome of ongoing inquiries,” it said in a statement on Thursday.
