Pastor in Police Net for Alleged Defilement of Three Sisters
Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have taken into custody Pastor Daniel Ololo, the General Overseer of Omega Prophetic Prayer Ministry, located in the Sapele area. The arrest, which occurred on Monday, November 17, 2025, follows serious allegations of defilement and assault leveled against the cleric by three sisters who are members of his congregation.
The Deceptive Prophecy and Coercion
According to the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, the command received a formal petition detailing the accusations. The subsequent police investigation uncovered a disturbing pattern of manipulation. It was revealed that Pastor Ololo allegedly used fake prophecies to lure the victims to his church office. Once there, he reportedly coerced them into sexual acts by convincing them that this was a necessary part of their spiritual deliverance.
"The pastor coerced them into believing that if he did not sleep with them, they would not be delivered," Edafe stated, outlining the manipulative tactics employed by the suspect. The police spokesperson further confirmed that the pastor had carnal knowledge of the three sisters, and shockingly, the last victim in this series of assaults is just 17 years old.
Ongoing Investigation and a Pattern of Abuse
The suspect is currently in police custody as the investigation continues to unfold. This case has sent ripples through the community and highlights a worrying trend of religious leaders exploiting their followers' trust. This incident is not isolated, as the news article references a similar case involving Bishop Ndibueze Okorie Onyagoziri of the Champion the Truth Cathedral in Ebonyi State, who was arrested for allegedly sleeping with a 22-year-old sickle cell patient under the pretense of healing her.
The arrest of Pastor Ololo serves as a stark reminder for the public to be vigilant and for law enforcement to remain proactive in investigating such serious claims within religious settings. The police have assured the public that justice will be served as they work to complete their inquiries into this grievous matter.
