Nigerian content creator Peller has disclosed that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) invited him for questioning after an individual reportedly reported the money sprayed and thrown on the floor during his wedding to fellow TikToker Jarvis. Peller made the revelation in a video, explaining that he honoured the invitation and appeared before officials to clarify the circumstances surrounding the funds displayed at the ceremony.
EFCC Invitation Over Wedding Money Spraying
According to Peller, the report was filed after guests sprayed money during the celebration. He said: “That time I did wedding, that was how one idiot tagged EFCC that they should investigate me that people threw money on the floor during the event.”
Peller stated that the EFCC sent him an invitation, which he accepted, and he subsequently met with officials to explain the situation. He believes his repeated warnings to guests not to throw money on the floor played a crucial role in the outcome of the investigation.
What Saved Peller During EFCC Investigation
Peller credited his conduct at the wedding for the favourable resolution. He said the EFCC officials took note of his efforts to caution attendees and described them as “wise” and “good people.”
“They called, and sent me invite and I went. They said what saved me was because they saw the way I was cautioning everybody not to throw money on the ground,” Peller added.
Reflecting on the experience, the TikToker questioned why some individuals would allegedly spend time trying to create problems for others because of their wealth. He urged people to focus on building their own finances rather than attempting to pull down those who appear successful.
Reactions From Social Media Users
Legit.ng compiled comments from social media users reacting to Peller's disclosure. One user, @josephtom203, wrote: “That's why they say 'experience is the best teacher' if you didn't expect it with the police case, you'd have.” Another user, @preshuchejohn, commented: “Some people are too full of envy jealousy and atered.”
In a related development, Legit.ng earlier reported that Peller and Jarvis sparked reactions during a live stream after Peller noticed that his wife was not wearing a bra. The content creator quickly used his hand to cover her chest before making a pointed remark about who her body now belongs to. Peller also proudly showed off his wedding ring during the live session, revealing that he does not usually wear jewellery but was happy to wear the ring.
