The Adamawa State Police Command has apprehended a 48-year-old man for allegedly sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl in Yola South Local Government Area of the state.
Suspect Identified and Arrested
The command's spokesman, SP Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed the incident and identified the suspect as Adamu Mohammed, a resident of Yolde Pate community. According to Nguroje, Mohammed lured the girl into his apartment and spent the night sexually assaulting her.
Victim Was a Housegirl
The victim, who worked as a housegirl, had earlier been reported missing by her employer. The boss initiated a search after the girl suddenly disappeared and later filed a missing person report with the police.
Nguroje assured the public that the suspect will face prosecution following a thorough investigation. The police are currently gathering evidence to build a strong case against Mohammed.
