The Edo State Police Command has apprehended a suspect in connection with the brutal murder of a 30-year-old interior and event decorator, Esohe Aigbe, in the state capital. According to relatives, Aigbe had traveled to a funeral venue on Ujo Street in the Ogida area of Benin City to offer free decoration services as a personal contribution to a friend's ceremony. Shortly after completing her work, she was attacked by unidentified individuals. She was rushed to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital with severe injuries but later succumbed to them.
Police Confirmation
Command spokesperson Eno Ikoedem confirmed the incident to journalists, stating that preliminary investigations have linked an individual identified as Faith to the crime. The suspect has been transferred to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department, and police are actively working to track down and arrest any remaining accomplices.
