The Ogun State Police Command has successfully apprehended a suspected armed robber and recovered two dangerous firearms in the state capital, Abeokuta. The arrest underscores the command's proactive stance against violent crime and illegal possession of weapons.

According to a statement released by the Command's spokesperson, SP Oluseyi Babeseyi, the suspect, identified as Adenekan Segun, was arrested on Sunday, 14th December 2025. The operation was launched following actionable intelligence received by the police.
The information indicated that Segun, who is popularly known by the alias 'Expensive', was unlawfully in possession of firearms. It was further alleged that he had brandished two pump-action rifles during a minor disagreement with another individual, prompting the swift police intervention.

The police operatives moved quickly on the tip-off, leading to the suspect's capture. During the arrest, two pump-action rifles were recovered from him.
