Police Rescue Minister's Sister and Twin Sons in Ibadan

A video showing the moment men of the Nigeria Police Force rescued the abducted sister of Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, and her twin sons, Paul and Peter, has been shared online.

Recall that on June 3rd, Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, were abducted along Challenge Road in Ibadan while she was taking them to school. They spent three nights in the kidnappers' den.

Confirming their rescue, the police in a statement said that through surveillance, intelligence gathering, and tactical operations, they were rescued on June 6, 2026, at 7:30 PM, exactly 84 hours after their abduction.

During the rescue operation, two suspected kidnappers were fatally wounded and two rifles were recovered. The victims were unharmed.
