Side Chick Arrested for Forging Documents to Claim Late Man's Property
Side Chick Arrested for Forging Property Documents

A Nigerian human rights activist has revealed the dramatic conclusion to a property dispute that pitted his grieving sister against her late husband's alleged side chick, culminating in arrests and exposed forgeries.

The Beginning of the Property Battle

Ochiegbu Marvelous first brought attention to his sister's ordeal last month through social media, detailing how a woman claiming to be his late brother-in-law's side chick was attempting to claim property left behind after the man's burial.

The situation escalated when the woman reportedly used her connections at the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) in Aba, Abia State to target specific assets including the deceased's vehicle, container, and other belongings. She even went as far as reporting the legitimate widow to police authorities in the area.

Strategic Police Intervention

Rather than engaging directly with RRS Aba, Ochiegbu made a strategic decision to take the case to Zone 9 Police Command in Umuahia. This move proved crucial as it allowed for an impartial investigation into the matter.

The Anti-Cult Unit of Zone 9, under the leadership of Supol Bestman and his team, immediately took action. Their investigation led to the arrest of the side chick and her associates, though they were initially granted bail through reliable sureties.

Exposing the Forgery Scheme

During the investigation, the woman presented what appeared to be official receipts and documents claiming ownership of the disputed property. She made bold assertions that her son in Lagos had purchased the vehicle and container for her, and even claimed that the deceased had been working under her employment.

However, thorough police work revealed a different story. All documents presented by the woman were discovered to be completely forged and fabricated. The investigation exposed the elaborate scheme to illegally claim property that rightfully belonged to the grieving widow.

As a result, both the side chick and her current boyfriend, identified as a pastor, are now in police custody facing charges of forgery while the investigation continues.

Ochiegbu expressed profound gratitude to the Nigeria Police Force, specifically acknowledging Zone 9 and the Anti-Cult Unit for their professional handling of the case. He noted that had the matter remained with RRS Aba, the outcome might have been dramatically different for his sister.
