On Monday, December 2nd, Paulo Cesar da Silva Santos rushed the unconscious toddler, Henry Gabriel, to a local emergency room. Medical staff immediately discovered the child had suffered extensive and severe physical trauma. They found multiple bruises, swelling on the skull, chest bruising, and a puncture wound on the wrist. The injuries were so alarming that hospital officials promptly alerted both the police and child protection services.
