The remains of Adesiyan Adegboye, the teacher killed during a coordinated attack on three schools in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State on Friday, May 15, have been laid to rest. The burial took place at his residence in the Owolake area of Ogbomosho, Oyo State, on Saturday, May 22.

Details of the Attack

Adegboye, aged 49, was shot dead during the invasion carried out by armed bandits at Baptist Nursery and Primary School, Yawota; Community Grammar School; and L.A. Primary School, Esiele. The assailants arrived at the schools around 9:30 am, abducting several teachers and students.
