A tragic incident has occurred in Amoka Village, Nru Nsukka, Enugu State, where a 19-year-old boy, Chiadikaobi Asadu, was allegedly beaten to death after being accused of stealing N17,000 from his father.
Details of the Incident
According to reports, the teenager denied taking the money but was allegedly assaulted by his father and some male relatives. They reportedly tied him to a tree and flogged him for hours. After the beating, he was asked to take a bath. However, family members later found him unconscious in the bathroom. He was subsequently confirmed dead.
Attempts to Conceal the Death
Residents also alleged that attempts were made to conceal the circumstances surrounding his death, with claims that he was buried the same day. The community is in shock over the incident, and many are calling for justice.
The police have not yet commented on the matter, but investigations are expected to follow.
