Benbrook Police responded to a report of someone accidentally shot in the face. First responders found Lindsay Velasquez, 42, unconscious with a gunshot wound. She was taken to Harris Hospital Downtown, where she was pronounced dead.
Her husband, Alberto Velasquez, 39, was arrested and charged with manslaughter. According to Tarrant County jail records, he was released on a $35,000 bond on Monday. It is unclear when he will next appear in court.
