Police found two opioid painkillers in Woods' pocket at the time of the arrest, leading to charges of DUI, property damage, and refusal to submit to a lawful test. The court date had reportedly been postponed multiple times as prosecutors continued their investigation process in South Florida.
Woods will be represented by attorney Douglas Duncan. He has waived his arraignment and requested a jury trial over the matter. His most recent hearing was held on August 4, following a July ruling that allowed prosecutors to obtain Woods' hospital records connected to the crash.
