Timi Frank Alleges Plot to Manipulate El-Rufai Recordings

Former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Timi Frank, has alleged a plot by security agencies to manipulate audio and video recordings allegedly linked to former Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, in a bid to tarnish his reputation and justify his continued detention.

Allegations of Surveillance and Manipulation

In a statement issued on Friday, Frank claimed that El-Rufai has been placed under intense surveillance while in custody, alleging that his conversations with his lawyers and family members were being secretly recorded. He further alleged that the recordings were being reviewed and altered using artificial intelligence technology to produce incriminating content against the former governor.

“Nasir El-Rufai has been subjected to intense surveillance even in detention,” Frank alleged. “The ICPC, where he is being held, has collaborated with the DSS to bug his room. They have countless hours of voice and visual recordings of his conversations, including those with his lawyers and family members,” he claimed.

Selective Editing and Framing

Frank also alleged that operatives were sifting through the recordings to identify segments that could be selectively edited or manipulated. “The plan is to use AI to distort some of these recordings to frame El-Rufai. Their intention is to then leak doctored versions of these recordings to the press,” he alleged.

He described the alleged development as part of a broader effort to damage El-Rufai’s reputation and prolong his detention. “It is all part of a calculated agenda to destroy El-Rufai’s reputation and keep him in custody,” he stated.
