A man was taken into custody at the residence of American singer Chris Brown on Wednesday, May 13, after he allegedly scaled a fence and entered the property in Los Angeles, reportedly attempting to ignite a fire.
Incident Details
Law enforcement officials responded to Brown's home in the Tarzana neighborhood shortly before 7:00 PM local time following reports that an individual was trying to force entry through the front gate. According to sources cited by TMZ, the person who alerted authorities stated they recognized the suspect and indicated that he had been a recurring issue.
The unidentified male suspect is said to have climbed over a fence to access the premises before allegedly making an effort to start a fire. Police confirmed that someone at the residence confronted the man prior to the arrival of officers, who then placed him under arrest.
The suspect was charged with trespassing, and a formal trespass report was filed. This event follows a separate disturbance at Brown's home a few weeks earlier, during which a security guard reportedly discharged a CO2-style weapon during a dispute with a woman outside the property.
At that time, reports indicated that the argument escalated after the woman allegedly drove over the guard's foot with her vehicle. Brown was reportedly present at the home during the earlier incident but was not directly involved.
