Troops of Sector 1, Operation SAFE HAVEN (OPSH), have arrested two suspected vandals for allegedly vandalising government-installed solar street lights in Jos East Local Government Area of Plateau State. The suspects, identified as Isiyaku Mohammed, 22, and Ali Kazaure, 27, were taken into custody at approximately 4:20 p.m. on August 7, 2026, during a patrol along the road in Babawo village.

According to a military source, the troops of Sector 1, Sub-Sector 12, apprehended the suspects while they were actively vandalising solar lighting infrastructure installed by the government. The operation underscores the military's ongoing efforts to protect public assets in the region.
The suspects were subsequently handed over to the Keystone Outpost in Babawo for further investigation and appropriate action.
