Authorities have urged social media users not to share, forward, or repost the footage to respect the victim's dignity and avoid hindering the investigation.

Ongoing Investigation and Leadership Involvement

The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Gauteng, Lieutenant General Tommy Mthombeni, has assigned a senior detective to lead the investigation.
