Woman Accuses TikTok Acquaintance of Violent Assault
A video circulating online has sparked widespread conversation after a woman publicly accused a man she met on social media of assaulting her for rejecting his sexual advances. The woman, who identified herself as an indigene of Benue State residing in Lagos, revealed that she had been communicating with the suspect on TikTok. The online acquaintance reportedly culminated in her traveling from Lagos to Otukpo, Benue State, to meet him in person.
Details of the Incident
According to her account, the man initially welcomed her, purchasing refreshments including malt drink and pepper soup. However, the situation escalated drastically during the night. The woman alleged that after she turned down his sexual demands, the man became violent and inflicted severe injuries on her eye.
Police Inaction Alleged
She also claimed she reported the incident to local authorities but no action was taken. The video, shared by Linda Ikeji on Instagram, shows the woman displaying her injured eye and recounting the ordeal. The post has generated significant public reaction, with many calling for justice and questioning the safety of meeting strangers from social media.
