A woman has taken to social media to express her frustration over the cost of parking at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos. According to her account, she parked her vehicle at around 8 a.m. and returned by 10 a.m., only to discover that she was charged ₦11,500 for the brief stay. Clearly upset by the unexpected fee, she questioned how such a high amount could be applied for just two hours of parking, describing the charge as unreasonable and excessive.
Her post quickly gained traction online, with many users sharing similar experiences and voicing their concerns about the airport's parking policies. Some pointed out that such fees place an unnecessary burden on travelers, especially those making short trips. Others called for a review of the pricing structure to make it more affordable and transparent.
The incident highlights ongoing debates about service costs at Nigerian airports and the need for regulatory oversight. As of now, the airport authorities have not issued an official response to the complaint.
