Victim Pictured After Brutal Killing
Friends have shared photos of the young woman allegedly killed by her boyfriend in Edjeba, Warri South Local Government Area, Delta State. The images surfaced on X (formerly Twitter) as friends mourned her one day after her death.
Incident Details
According to reports, the incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, June 23, at her boyfriend's apartment on Ajidi Street. Friends of the deceased said she was dating the suspect and had called them in panic, saying her boyfriend was harming her. When friends called the boyfriend, he claimed she was not with him.
Discovery of the Body
Hours later, the girlfriend's body was found in a pool of blood in the boyfriend's living room. Her neck had reportedly been slashed, and she also had multiple stab wounds. The deceased was a frequent visitor to the suspect's residence. She was last seen in the community on Monday, June 22, buying food items for a meal they planned to share.
Police Involvement
Residents said the landlord heard screams from the apartment and called security operatives. Police responded and discovered the woman's lifeless body with severe injuries inside the apartment. The suspect was immediately arrested and taken into custody.

The Delta State Police Command has confirmed the incident. Spokesperson Bright Edafe stated that investigations are ongoing.
