The Marcus family has launched a desperate appeal to the public following the mysterious disappearance of their 32-year-old daughter, Abigail Marcus, in Calabar, Cross River State.
Abigail was last seen on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, when she left her home in the Eight Miles area of Calabar. According to family sources, she intended to visit the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital but never reached her destination and hasn't been seen since.
Her brother, Emmanuel Marcus, expressed the family's growing anxiety in an emotional statement: "We are deeply worried and heartbroken. Abigail left home saying she was going to UCTH, but she never arrived. Her phone goes straight to voicemail, and we've checked all her usual places without any success."
Family's Frantic Search Efforts
The family has undertaken extensive search operations across Calabar, including:
- Visiting all hospitals and medical facilities in the area
 - Filing official reports with multiple police stations
 - Contacting friends, colleagues, and acquaintances
 - Searching neighborhoods and public places she frequented
 
Emmanuel emphasized the urgency of the situation: "We've done everything possible within our means. Now we're begging the public, security agencies, and anyone with information to please help us find our sister."

The family is specifically calling on the Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services, and other security organizations to intensify efforts in locating Abigail. They're also appealing to residents of Calabar and surrounding areas to report any sightings or information that might lead to her whereabouts.
Abigail Marcus is described as approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, light-skinned, and was last seen wearing a black top and jeans. Anyone with information is urged to contact the nearest police station or call the family's emergency numbers immediately.
