NCDC Alerts Public on Fake Websites, Addresses, and Identity Theft
NCDC Warns Against Fake Websites and Identity Theft

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC) has issued a critical alert to Nigerians, cautioning them against fraudulent individuals and groups misusing its identity. The commission is actively distancing itself from unauthorized entities that are illegally using its name, logo, and contact details to deceive the public.

Official Disclaimer and Fake Details Exposed

In a formal public disclaimer released on December 28, 2025, the NCDC made it clear that it has no connection with any person or organization falsely claiming to represent it. The commission specifically identified and disowned deceptive platforms, including the website www.ncdc-gov.com and the email address [email protected], labeling them as completely fake and misleading.

The NCDC, which was established by an Act of Parliament in 2024 and had its Board properly constituted in 2025, emphasized that these impostors are not acting on its behalf. The statement was issued by James Abel Uloko, JP, the Executive Director of Corporate Services, who expressed regret for any inconvenience caused by these criminal activities.

Clarifying Official Locations and Operations

To eliminate confusion, the commission provided its verified official addresses. The NCDC's official Head Office is situated at 15, Muhammadu Buhari Way, Lafia, Nasarawa State. It is not located at the World Trade Center Complex in Abuja or any other location being promoted by fraudsters.

For its temporary operations in the nation's capital, the NCDC clarified that it operates strictly from the Nasarawa State Liaison Office at the Blue Springs Hotel Building in Central Area, Abuja. This facility was generously donated by the Nasarawa State Government.

Public Advisory and Legal Actions

The NCDC has urged all members of the public, government agencies, development partners, and stakeholders to be extremely vigilant. It advised everyone to double-check any communication, transaction, or representation supposedly linked to the commission. Verification should only be done through its officially recognized addresses and authorized personnel.

The commission will not be held responsible for any losses, damages, or inconveniences resulting from dealings with unauthorized persons. It has completely dissociated itself from any actions, claims, or commitments made by these fake entities.

According to the statement, the NCDC has already begun taking appropriate legal steps through relevant authorities to tackle this issue. The primary goal is to safeguard the public from potential fraud and identity theft. This warning was issued to raise public awareness and ensure protection against these sophisticated scams.
