A devastating fire has claimed the lives of an entire family in Katsina State, plunging the Kofar Sauri community into mourning. The inferno, which occurred in the early hours of Monday, 1 December 2025, killed a man, his wife, and their three children.

The fire broke out in the family's home within the Katsina metropolitan area. Most household items were completely destroyed, burnt beyond recognition by the intense flames. A local source, who requested anonymity, revealed a critical detail: the tragedy struck shortly after electricity was restored to the area.
