Elderly Woman Rescued from Well in Kano Emergency Operation
The Kano State Fire Service has successfully rescued a 65-year-old woman who fell into a well at Gafiyawa town, located near the Mamuda Group of Company in Kumbotso Local Government Area.
According to official reports, the emergency response unit received a distress call on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 from Ibrahim Sani Hausawa, who alerted authorities about the critical situation.
Swift Response Saves Life
Fire service personnel immediately mobilized to the scene, where they discovered the victim identified as Khadija Muhammad trapped in the well. Family members present at the location revealed that the elderly woman lives with a mental health condition, which may have contributed to the accident.
Through what rescue officials described as divine intervention and the professional efforts of the emergency team, the woman was safely retrieved from the well without serious injuries.
Malam Ibrahim Dahiru, the woman's brother, took custody of her following the successful rescue operation.
