A family in Ogun State has been plunged into anguish after their four-year-old daughter was abducted from their home in a calculated scheme. The parents of Oluwadabira Adakeja are now making a desperate public appeal for any information that could lead to her safe return.
The Day of the Abduction: A Calculated Scheme
The traumatic incident occurred on Friday, January 9, at the family's residence in Ogijo, Ogun State. According to the distraught father, Olufemi Adakeja, the day began with a minor mishap that turned into a nightmare. As he and his wife prepared to drive out, their car became stuck in mud within their compound.
While the couple was trying to free the vehicle, two women passing by stopped and offered assistance. After the car was successfully pushed out, Mr. Adakeja instructed his children, who had been watching, to go inside the house and lock the gate. The two women then asked for a lift, a request the grateful father agreed to.
The Deceptive Return and Kidnapping
After driving the women approximately 2km to 3km, they asked to be dropped off. Believing they had reached their destination, Mr. Adakeja had no reason for suspicion. However, in a shocking twist, the women reportedly boarded a motorcycle and returned to his house.
Upon arriving back at the Adakeja home, the women encountered the children. They deceitfully told them that their father had sent them to pick up Oluwadabira. Trusting the women who had just helped their parents, the unsuspecting children handed over their four-year-old sister. This is how the young girl was taken, and she has been missing for days.
A Plea to the Public and Police Action
In an emotional video appeal, the heartbroken father has begged Nigerians for help in locating his missing child. The family has reported the matter to the Ogijo Divisional Police Station in Ogun State to aid the investigation.
The family is urging anyone with information, no matter how small it may seem, to come forward immediately. They have provided contact numbers for tips: 08061583310 or 08033237146.
This distressing event has highlighted the vulnerability of families to cunning criminal tactics. The community and authorities are now called upon to collaborate in ensuring Oluwadabira's safe return to her parents.
