The Rivers State Police Command has successfully rescued five individuals who were abducted by suspected cultists in the Emuoha Local Government Area. The victims were found unharmed in the Rumudogo 2 Community following a coordinated security operation.

Details of the Rescue Mission

According to the command's spokesperson, Grace Iringe-Koko, the rescue was executed in the early hours of Tuesday, around 1.00am. The operation was carried out by the police tactical teams, who worked in collaboration with other security agencies. Community support was also cited as a critical factor in the mission's success.

The five individuals rescued have been identified as Prince London, Azubuike Kelechukwu, Elizabeth Aniete, Onyebuchi Precious, and London Sampson. Following their rescue, they were immediately taken to a hospital for a thorough medical examination to ensure their well-being.

Police Vow to Apprehend Perpetrators

The Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, has assured the public that the perpetrators will not escape justice. He stated that intensive efforts are ongoing to track down and arrest the fleeing cultists, promising they will face the full wrath of the law.

CP Adepoju further urged the community and the general public to maintain their collaboration with the police. This partnership is deemed essential for ensuring the continued safety and security of all residents in the state.

It will be recalled that five students of the Rivers State University were also abducted by suspected cultists in the Emuoha Local Council recently.
