Real Estate Marketers Kidnapped During Land Inspection

Armed men have abducted six marketers working for a real estate company based in Lagos. The incident took place at Oyebola village in the Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State.

Police Confirmation and Ongoing Rescue Efforts

The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, officially confirmed the abduction. He revealed this information during a telephone interview with Punch on Sunday, November 30, 2025. According to the CP, the marketers were taken on Friday while they were on an inspection visit to a piece of land owned by their company.

Commissioner Ogunlowo explained the purpose of their visit: "They brought some marketers from Lagos to come and see the land so that they can have the requisite information to market the land for the members of the public who are interested." He assured the public that the police command has been actively working on the case since it occurred and is committed to securing the safe release of the victims.

Community Reaction and Security Concerns

Before the official police confirmation, a resident from a neighbouring community had anonymously reported the attack to the publication. This kidnapping highlights the persistent security challenges in certain parts of the state, raising concerns for businesses and individuals involved in land and property transactions in the area. The police continue their investigation and pursuit of the kidnappers.
