The Bayelsa State Police Command has launched a comprehensive investigation into the disturbing disappearance of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member Grace Tuedor, who vanished after reporting to her place of primary assignment in Yenagoa.
The mysterious case began when the young graduate failed to return home after completing her first day at the Ministry of Finance, where she had been posted for her mandatory national service. Concerned family members reported her missing when all attempts to reach her proved unsuccessful.
Police Take Immediate Action
Police Public Relations Officer ASP Musa Mohammed confirmed that authorities have initiated a thorough search operation. "We are treating this matter with utmost seriousness and are exploring all possible angles to locate the missing corps member," Mohammed stated.
Investigators have already visited the ministry where Grace was posted, interviewing colleagues and staff who interacted with her on what should have been a routine first day of service. The police are also reviewing security camera footage from surrounding areas to trace her movements after leaving the government office.
