Zamfara Governor Vows Full Support for Security Operatives

Governor Dauda Lawal has reiterated his administration’s full commitment to supporting security operatives in Zamfara State. The governor made this pledge on Thursday while chairing the weekly State Security Council meeting at the Government House in Gusau.

Security Council Focuses on Volatile Areas

According to a statement by the governor’s spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, the meeting brought together all heads of security agencies in the state. The council focused on enhancing security presence in volatile areas to curb insecurity.

“Governor Dauda Lawal chaired the weekly security council meeting with renewed commitment to strengthening support for the troops,” the statement read.

Assurances for Troops' Well-being

The governor assured the heads of the security agencies of his readiness to take all necessary measures to ensure the well-being of troops operating in the state. He emphasised that his primary concern is a secure Zamfara and promised that his office remains accessible to the security chiefs at all times.

“The meeting addressed key issues, particularly strengthening troop presence and improving rapid response during emergencies,” the statement added.

Ongoing Efforts to Combat Insecurity

The weekly security council meetings are part of the state government's strategy to coordinate security operations and address emerging threats. Governor Lawal’s administration has consistently prioritised security, working closely with military and police forces to restore peace in the region.
